Enter your own data or use example files to run Minimum Convex Polygons, selecting by range or location qualifying variable, and view resulting shapes and output statistics. Maps may be created or imported to view with locations or polygons, but habitat analysis is not available in this free trial version.
You need a Java 2 Runtime Environment, so please check if you have one installed (in the "Add/Remove Programs" application in the "Control Panel"). If not, please go to
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/jre/download-windows.html
and follow the instructions to install J2SE 1.3.1.
Then download Ranges6demo and unzip the ran6demo folder to your hard drive. Important: the path to which you save the ran6demo folder must not contain any folder names that are longer than 8 characters or have spaces.
(e.g. don't save it to c:\Program Files or to c:\mysoftware).
Double-click on the ran6demo.bat in the ran6demo folder to start the demo.

Please note that for other home range analyses, plus overlap, interaction and habitat analyses you will need to purchase the full version.
